Do you own or operate a business in Newmarket? It’s time to renew your business licence.
The Town of Newmarket Licenses several classifications of businesses annually, including:
- Donation Bins
- Driving School Instructors
- Hawker and Peddlers
- Limousines
- Newspaper Boxes
- Outdoor Serving Area’s
- Personal Wellness Establishments
- Refreshment Vehicles
- Secondhand Goods
- Short Term Rentals
- Taxicabs
- Transportation Network Companies
The purpose of licensing is to provide standards across the community to provide protections for residents and businesses.
The Town is in the midst of conducting its annual licensing renewal process and distributed renewal notices via mail to businesses requiring licenses earlier this fall.
Existing licenses expire on December 31, 2023, with a deadline to renew their licence by January , 2024. Businesses who fail to renew their licence by the due date will be considered in violation and may be .
