​NT Power will making electrical improvements along Cedar Street in downtown Newmarket from January 2-31 in order to convert overhead wires to underground. Doing so will decrease the chances of power outages caused by inclement weather.

Disruptions:

• January 2-5, 15-19 and 22-26: Partial Lane Closure (with working hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
• January 8-11 and 28-31: Full Lane Closure (overnight work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.)

Deliveries, waste pick-up and emergency access will remain in place.
