Flags fly at half-mast in Newmarket to honour the life of the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney

Flags at Town of Newmarket and Central York Fire Services' facilities have been lowered to half-mast to honour the life of former Canadian Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 84. Mr. Mulroney held the position of the 18th Prime Minister of Canada from 1984 to 1993.
The Town of Newmarket extends our deepest condolences to the Mulroney family, friends and colleagues' family during this difficult time.
Flags will remain at half-mast until the date of the funeral, which has not been announced at this time.
