5 Ways to Choose Local in Your Community

  1. Enjoy take out from local food spots for dinner. Already have a favourite? Try a new spot each time.

  2. Buy gift cards from local businesses for products or services. For example if you know you’re going to need your hair done in a few months, grab a gift card now.

  3. Be a local influencer! Follow some local businesses on social media, share their content and share your own experiences. Nothing like personal testimonials. Remember to tag the Town of Newmarket’s social media channels and use #ChooseNewmarket

  4. Tip service workers a little extra, if you have the means to do so.

  5. If you already paid for a service that was cancelled or postponed, donate the amount of the class instead of asking for a refund.

A little goes a long way when it comes to our local businesses but it’s important to always keep our community in our hearts and choose them time after time. Choose Local.
