Commencing the week of Monday, October 25th, the Town of Newmarket Recreation and Culture Department will begin to safely increase program participant and venue capacities, in accordance with the Provincial Government announcement on October 22, 2021.

Also commencing on October 25th individuals will no longer be required to pre book their time for the Fitness Centre and Tim Hortons Walking Track.  Aqua Fitness, Group Fitness and Swimming Program pre registration requirements will be addressed in the coming weeks.

All individuals 12+ will be required to provide proof of full vaccination status* and identification in accordance with Provincial legislation. Proof vaccination and ID screening will still be conducted on site at the entrances of all Town facilities.

*Fully vaccinated means all individuals must have proof of two doses of a Health Canada Approved Vaccine or one dose of the Jansen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine plus a two-week waiting period from their last dose.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all in-person programs and events hosted by the Town of Newmarket will follow all guidelines released by the Ontario Ministry of Health and York Region Public Health. We are dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for all staff and participants.

Fall Drop-In Schedules:


Pre-registration is still required as we need to manage capacity numbers and contact tracing as per COVID safety protocols. Walk Up's are not presently permitted.

Be sure to check out our schedules below often as we will be updating with new programs and activities along with some community favourites like Lane Swim, Public Swim, Aqua Fitness, Arts and Culture Drop In's, Pickelball and more!


Registration
for Drop In’s opens every Sunday at 8 a.m. for the upcoming week’s Drop In activities.

Pool / Swimming Pay as you Go Fees:  

  • Children up to 4 years old $1.25/ per swim
  • Members 5 years old and up $3/per swim
  • Aqua Fitness $5/class.

Drop-In Class/ Session Cancellations:

  • If you cannot make your scheduled time up to one (1) day / 24 hours, in advance you can log back into your account and withdraw yourself from the scheduled session.  A credit will be applied to your account or you can rebook another available session.
  • For cancellations for Pool Programs (Public swim, Seniors swim, Parent & Tot swim Inclusion swim): on the day of your session, please notify us by emailing info@newmarket.ca with CANCEL in the subject line or call Customer Service at 905-953-5303. A credit will be applied to your account.
  • For cancellations for Fitness Sessions (Fitness Centre workout session, Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness): on the day of your session, please notify us by emailing fitness@newmarket.ca with CANCEL in the subject line or call the Fitness Centre at 905-953-5300 ext. 2710. A credit will be applied to your account.
