The Finance department is responsible for managing and investing your tax dollars to meet the needs of this community as well as addressing the priorities in our strategic plan. The Finance department provides financial direction and high quality, timely financial advice and support to all departments, residents and Council of Newmarket. The department is responsible for the stewardship of the financial assets and records as well as the protection of the physical assets of the corporation in conjunction with other departments. It also provides and/or manages tax and water billing services to residents of the Town as well as provides budget and expenditure management information, payroll, fiscal policy, accounts payable and receivable and cashier services.
